Brecon is an outstanding base from which to tour in Wales (and even the left hand bit of England!). You have a wealth of choice of things to do and see within 50 miles of the Hotel. At most, this is about 1 ¾ hours drive unless you get lost, get stuck behind a tractor, flock of sheep etc. in which case you can chalk the day up to tedious experience.
